In-ground vinyl liner replacement

Liner replacements done right, the first time.

Since 1978, Rustic Pools has earned a reputation for absolute customer satisfaction. We take out the tired liner, get the walls and floor ready, and set a new one measured for your pool, with personal attention at every step and at a fair price.

Liner day

Five steps from faded to fresh.

Most of the work happens in a day or two; the pool is ready for water as soon as the new liner is set.

  1. Measure & choose

We measure the pool and bring liner samples to you. A screen never shows a liner’s true color; a sample in your hand does.

  2. A crew member cutting out the old liner at the shallow end

    Out with the old

The old liner comes out, and we look over the walls, floor and track it was hiding.

  3. Covering the new steps in foam so the liner feels soft underfoot

    Soft underneath

On gunite walls we add a layer of foam, so the new liner feels soft and smooth. The floor gets a fresh skim coat.

  4. Close-up: hands pressing the liner bead into the track

    Set & fill

The new liner goes into the track and the water goes in. Downtime is usually a day or two.

  5. Filled: the new steps and handrail under clear water

    Finish & swim

Once it’s full we come back to cut in the faceplates and gaskets. Then it’s summer.

Is it time?

Signs your liner is ready to retire

Vinyl liners last a long time, but not forever. If you see a few of these, call us and we’ll take a look.

Faded or chalky color

The pattern has bleached out, especially along the waterline where the sun hits hardest.

Pulling out of the track

The liner’s edge is slipping out from under the coping, or the track itself is cracked.

Water going missing

The level keeps dropping faster than evaporation explains. A liner hole may be the culprit.

Wrinkles and stains

Wrinkles that won’t lie flat, brittle spots, or stains that won’t come out with normal care.

Rebound for weathered steps

Consider Rebound as an excellent alternative to painting weathered fiberglass steps. Its soft, slip-resistant surface comes in a variety of colors, so you can pick one that suits your new liner.
